"This is the day that the Lord has made.  I will rejoice and be glad in it. "    Psalm 118:24

Here are a few of my notes from today's sermon.  You can hear the whole sermon by clicking on the link below.

Previously, in verse 21, they identified the day that they are speaking  of in verse 24 as the day of salvation in reference to Christ, the chief corner stone.   We are in that day.  Since Christ everyday is the day of salvation, therefore every day is a day to rejoice!

Why we are glad in this day:
~God made today
~He placed US in THIS day by His wisdom
~This day is perfect in design and purpose, therefore we must believe there is wisdom in it, and ultimately look for the purpose in it.
~If God made it, there's wisdom in it.

"If you do not have enough time in a day, then you do not understand the purpose of the day."

We must not neglect the physical man or the spiritual man in each day.

If you are always waiting on Friday, you will miss the beauty of today.  Be happy with today's work and purpose, even when today's purpose may be preparing for tomorrow.

Some are lost in yesterday.  They are scared of today because of what happened yesterday.  They can't even think about tomorrow with optimism.  If yesterday is under the blood, we need to have a short memory.

Some people are lusting after tomorrow and lose the beauty and purpose of today.  They never develop to the point of being able to reach what is in their future.

The ONLY way for man to be truly happy is be completely God centered.  Daily meditation on God will yield a blessed day.  David was centered on God every day.  Morning, noon and evening.  Regardless of what happens.

"You do not have a secular life."

A day of faithfulness everyday will yield a lifetime of faithfulness.
